Jacob Wipf

Jacob was the leader of a group of thirteen Hutterite families, which left Russia in 1877.  The group was nameed after him, that is his occupation.  He was a teacher, and in German "Lehrer" means teacher.  His group was the Lehrerleut.  They established their colony in Parkston, South Dakota.
